Adjustment Time
The equalization time refers to the time difference until the respective sensor element has adapted to the corresponding measured variable.
Button Logger
Buttonlogger or button cell logger, are by their size, which is no larger than a 20 cent piece, very well suited where size is a relevant aspect. In addition, they are extremely robust and have a large storage capacity.
Data Logger
Is a digital storage device. Physical measured data such as temperature, humidity or acceleration can be stored on the storage medium via an interface. Through individual transmission cycles, it can be determined in which rhythm the measurement data are stored on the data logger. Subsequently, the data obtained for further processing in digital form can be forwarded to the computer.
GDP
This guideline is understood as the “principles of good distribution practice for medicinal product medicines.” As pharmaceuticals are subject to high standards, not only are the processes within the distribution chain checked to the fullest, but also the warehousing and the handling of the sensitive goods by the employees are meticulously monitored.
GSM
The global mobile communications system is the standard for digital mobile networks. Primary is designed for tele-communication, it is also used for data transmission and text messages.
Humidity
Indicates how much moisture the air can absorb at maximum, depending on the air temperature. At low temperatures, the air can absorb significantly less moisture compared to high temperatures. Transport goods are subject to permanently fluctuating humidity and must therefore be constantly monitored. The measurement is carried out with a so-called hygrometer.
Indicator
Description of a sign or signal that represents a particular occurred state. In the field of cold chain monitoring, indicators are the simplest and most cost-effective way to monitor the cold chain of transported goods. If a temperature limit is exceeded or undershot, the indicator signals by different colors whether the goods are defective or can still be used.
MKT
The Mean Kinetic Temperature (MKT) is a simplified way of expressing the overall effect of temperature variations during storage or transportation of perishable goods. MKT is widely used in the pharmaceutical industry, especially when temperature deviations are to be determined in a rare or exceptional case.
Monitoring
Systematic observation and evaluation of data sets that are generated and transmitted by goods to be transported, in the form of data loggers. Monitoring enables early detection of developments and dangerous situations, and the necessary measures can be initiated promptly.
Quality Assurance (QA)
EN ISO 9001 defines the minimum quality management system (QM) requirements. Companies that are certified to this standard must provide their products and services in a manner that meets customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
Sensor
Is a component used to measure physical quantities and chemical effects. The sensor converts the measured values into an analogue electrical signal. Thus, for example, the following physical parameters can be measured: “Temperature, light intensity, acceleration and many other parameters!”
Shelf Life
Since environmental influences can affect the lifespan of batteries, we recommend that all our products be stored in the conditions that are optimal for them. In this way, the shelf life given at the time of purchase can be guaranteed. Optimal storage conditions: +15°C to +23°C / 45% to 75% rH.
Temperature
Is the physical quantity that reflects an energy state of an object. This condition is expressed in Celsius (° C) or Fahrenheit (° F).
Validation
Used as a kind of field experiment to control whether the previously defined objectives have been met. Thus, it is checked whether the requirements of the customer are suitable.
